Diagrams of the Conveyancing Process
The conveyancing process can seem quite complex so we've created a couple of simple flowcharts to illustrate what happens at each stage. Take a look at the diagrams below - you can enlarge them by clicking on them. We've also made them available to download as a pdf, so you can refer to them whenever is convenient.
How a typical sale progresses - click to view larger image
The conveyancing process for a typical sale takes around 8 weeks from receipt of all documents from the client and the buyer's solicitor.
How a typical purchase progresses - click to view larger image
The conveyancing process for a typical purchase takes around 8 weeks from receipt of all documents.
The timescales that are referred to above are a guide and best case scenario and although we aim to meet these, if they are to be achieved, then all parties will need to be turning correspondence around in a timely manner and for there to be no complex issues in the transaction. As every transaction is different we give no guarantees that these timescales will be met and are only a guide given that we are bound by a number of outside influences beyond our control.
